Mrs. Dorothy Watson

Christian educators should be grounded in a Biblical philosophy of education that profoundly permeates every area of the educational process. As a Christian educator, my philosophy is based on Colossians 2:8. Christ is central to education and all of the theories that I've mastered through education must exalt Christ as the cornerstone. I teach all subject areas based on this framework of Biblical authority.

My professional qualities and expertise of combining this philosophical viewpoint with educational theories in presenting material to students with different learning styles, being able to recognize and utilize material that are age appropriate, being energetic about learning, and knowledgeable about integrating each subject area across the curriculum, help ensure successful outcomes for students.

Prior to joining Covenant Christian Ministries Academy, I received my BS in Early Childhood Education from Kennesaw State University. I was employed with Life Chiropractic College (which is now Life University) in the Natural Sciences Department and with Marietta City Schools.

I am now richly blessed and honored to be a laborer with parents in the educational process of their children. I have been serving students at CCMA in grades K-5th for the past 11 years and a part of the academy's leadership team for the past year. I currently oversee the Helping Hands and Spelling Bee Clubs.
